Angela has been tutoring my girls on and off for 5 years since they were diagnosed with dyslexia at age 7.  The girls look forward to their tutoring sessions and have made improvements in their reading and writing.  While Angela is warm and patient, she also ensures that the girls focus and remain on task.  She teaches in a traditional Slingerland approach which is very systematic and my girls have made tremendous strides.  Because of working memory issues my girls need a lot of repetition and Angela has provided them with helpful memory tools.  I would recommend Angela as a Slingerland teacher to any parent who is looking for a structured approach for their child with dyslexia. Angela has been a tremendous help with our daughter who suffers from dyslexia. My daughter has been going to her for the last year and a half and is now reading with confidence and at grade level.  Angela is patient and very encouraging. We couldn’t be more pleased with Angela and her work with our son C. this past year.
